Senior Exemption

San Rafael City Schools offers seniors an exemption from the parcel tax.

 

In order to qualify, the senior must have attained age 65 prior to May 1 of any applicable year, be the beneficial owner and be their principal place of residence. 

 

School Bond taxes are not exemptible. 

 

If you believe you qualify for this exemption, please fill out the Senior Exemption Application that starts tax season 2020-2021 located HERE and return it to our office. This application can be used for both the Elementary and/or High School Districts (High School only if also in the Miller Creek District).

Abatement of Contiguous Parcel

If you believe you should receive an exemption because the parcel is a contiguous parcel or the parcel is an easement, please fill out the request for abatement form located HERE and return it to our office.
